headspace Family supports children and young people aged 12-25 by providing their parents and close relatives with the support and guidance they need. This is a space for those who feel the need to talk to someone about the concerns that arise in daily life for the young person and within the family relationship.<\/p>\n

Family Sessions<\/h3><\/div>

In family sessions, the focus is on the family as a whole. When a young person is struggling, it is often connected to how the entire family functions. headspace Family provides a confidential space for conversations with the whole family, focusing on the mental well-being of everyone.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Group counseling<\/span><\/h3><\/div>

We offer group counseling both online and in person. The group is a space where you, as a parent or relative of a young person who is not thriving, together with others, have the opportunity for sparring and sharing experiences that create new perspectives and opportunities for action.Read more about where you can access the group program here.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Chat<\/h3><\/div>

The chat is for you as a parent or caregiver of a young person aged 12 to 25 who needs someone to talk to about the frustrations and challenges you experience as a caregiver of an unhappy young person. The chat is free, anonymous and you can use us as often as you like.You can also use our anonymous SMS counseling.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Phone counselling<\/h3><\/div>

We offer phone counselling for parents or close relatives of young people aged 12\u201325 who may be struggling, regardless of where you live. We provide a confidential space where you can sit comfortably at home and talk with us about the frustrations and challenges you experience as a relative of a young person who is struggling.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Confidential Conversations<\/p><\/h3><\/div>

headspace Family provides a confidential space for both individual sessions and family conversations, focusing on the mental wellbeing of everyone involved. It is a place where frustrations can be expressed, and we address the challenges faced by the family.<\/p>\n

There are no waiting lists and we don\u2019t keep records at headspace Family. We are subject to mandatory reporting obligations, but as family members, you will always be involved in any further steps.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Bridging to other services<\/b><\/h3><\/div>

We know that, in many cases, good conversations are enough, but sometimes there is a need for us to build bridges to other services. This could include other volunteer organizations, treatment services, or more specialized support.<\/p>\n

If we identify a need for additional help, we will work together to find a relevant service that can support the family and their loved ones in moving forward.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Peer Volunteers<\/b><\/h3><\/div>

At headspace Family, you will be met by peer volunteers with lived experiences<\/p>\n

The volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and life stories, bringing both personal and professional skills.<\/p>\n

All volunteers have completed a counseling training program at headspace Family, ensuring they are well-equipped to support, guide, and help you and your family with whatever you need to talk about.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Methods and Approach in headspace Family<\/b><\/h3><\/div>

We believe that people are the experts in their own lives. With this approach, we support young people by helping their families and close relatives find the best path forward\u2014by inviting reflection, helping them create new perspectives, and providing practical tools they can try out in their everyday life and in their relationship with the young person.<\/p>\n

Metoderne i b\u00e5de de individuelle p\u00e5r\u00f8rende<\/span>samtaler<\/span>The methods used in individual counseling sessions for relatives, support groups, and family conversations are based on the approaches we already apply at headspace. These form the foundation for the accreditation of our individual counseling, which is continuously monitored by R\u00e5dgivningsDanmark.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Peer Volunteers<\/h3><\/div>

In addition to our approach and methods in headspace Family, our experience with peer support plays a crucial role. The reason is that involving peer volunteers and their lived experiences supports a resource- and empowerment-based perspective, which has the potential to enhance feelings of recognition and
