Become a peer volunteer in the headspace Family chat<\/h1><\/div>

Do you want to use your experience as a relative to bring hope and help others? Then we need YOU as a peer volunteer in headspace Family chat <\/b><\/p>\n

Use your experience to make a difference for families and relatives of young people who are struggling.<\/span><\/p>\n

headspace Family is a conversation service for families and relatives of young people aged 12\u201325<\/b> who are struggling. We offer individual and family sessions<\/b><\/a> at our physical centres, as well as individual sessions in our chat<\/b>. Conversations can cover everything from family conflicts to the many difficult emotions that arise when a young person is struggling.<\/p>\n

With your help<\/b>, even more people can have someone to talk to. In the headspace Family chat, conversations are primarily carried out by volunteers, supported by staff. You will be on shift either in the morning\/early afternoon or late afternoon\/evening, and each shift lasts 6 hours (including breaks and guidance).<\/p>\n

Your personal experience means that the people seeking help from us feel seen and met on equal terms<\/b>. It gives hope and strength to see others who have been through a crisis living meaningful lives, with the energy to support others.<\/p>\n

We provide you with the tools and prepare you well, and together we create a safe space to talk about emotions and challenges related to being close to a young person struggling with wellbeing.<\/p>\n

All work in the headspace Family chat takes place in person at Hellerupvej 24, 2900 Hellerup.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
