Det at v\u00e6re ung indeb\u00e6rer i forvejen, at der er meget at forholde sig til p\u00e5 nye m\u00e5der: F\u00f8lelser, forventninger, gr\u00e6nser, seksualitet, venskaber, forelskelse og meget mere. For en ung med ADHD kan de udfordringer v\u00e6re s\u00e6rligt sv\u00e6re og mere uoverskuelige. De ting, vi som for\u00e6ldre ofte tager for givet i hverdagen, og som vi har forventninger om, at vores halvvoksne b\u00f8rn kan h\u00e5ndtere, kan v\u00e6re ekstra sv\u00e6re for en ung med ADHD at leve op til.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5ske er du bekymret for dit barns fremtid eller har brug for <a href=\"https:\/\/adhd.dk\/\">mere viden om ADHD<\/a>. M\u00e5ske oplever du, at reglerne i hjemmet ikke bliver respekteret, at dit barn ikke lytter, opf\u00f8rer sig impulsivt eller uovervejet eller har sv\u00e6rt ved at tage imod simple beskeder og fuldf\u00f8re sine opgaver. Det stiller store krav til din t\u00e5lmodighed og rummelighed at hj\u00e6lpe dit barn med at skabe struktur og tydelig kommunikation \u2013 og samtidig forblive rolig og klar, n\u00e5r du m\u00f8der modstand eller bliver afvist.<\/p>\n<p>Kort fortalt p\u00e5virker ADHD evnen til at koncentrere sig og regulere impulser \u2013 og nogle gange er den unges hum\u00f8r og sociale relationer ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5virket. Som for\u00e6lder til en ung med ADHD er det vigtigt at forst\u00e5 diagnosen, da det kan skabe mere ro og give bedre foruds\u00e6tninger for at st\u00f8tte dit barn. Det kan v\u00e6re sv\u00e6rt for den unge at overskue hverdagen og de mange forpligtelser, der f\u00f8lger med.<\/p>\n<p>Som for\u00e6lder kan du v\u00e6re med til at skabe struktur i dit barns hverdag og hj\u00e6lpe med at h\u00e5ndtere hverdagens udfordringer. Sammen kan I f.eks. tale om, hvilke tidspunkter p\u00e5 dagen, der kr\u00e6ver mest energi, hvorn\u00e5r det er sv\u00e6rest at komme i gang, og hvilke ting, der forstyrrer mest (f.eks. mobilen, st\u00f8j, tidspres m.v.). P\u00e5 den m\u00e5de kan I sammen finde strategier, der g\u00f8r hverdagen mere overskuelig.<\/p>\n<p>Du kan ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re nysgerrig p\u00e5, hvilke hj\u00e6lpemidler dit barn synes er gode og overskuelige til at skabe struktur i hverdagen. Det kunne f.eks. v\u00e6re en kalender (visuel eller digital), to-do-lister, reminders p\u00e5 mobilen eller andre m\u00e5der at strukturere dagen p\u00e5. Det handler om at hj\u00e6lpe med at skabe nogle rammer uden du tager styringen. Pr\u00f8v om du kan hj\u00e6lpe med at bryde uoverskuelige opgaver op i mindre dele og samarbejd om at lave faste rutiner \u2013 b\u00e5de omkring s\u00f8vn, pauser, mad m.v. T\u00e6nk p\u00e5 dig selv som en sparringspartner, der stiller sig til r\u00e5dighed og er nysgerrig p\u00e5 dit barn frem for som opdrageren, der stiller krav og kender <span style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\">l\u00f8sningerne p\u00e5 forh\u00e5nd. Det kan du f.eks. g\u00f8re ved at sp\u00f8rge: \u201dKan jeg g\u00f8re noget, s\u00e5 vi kan l\u00f8se problemet?\u201d eller \u201dJeg har t\u00e6nkt p\u00e5, hvordan det m\u00e5ske kunne blive lettere for dig at huske dine aftaler \u2013 vil du h\u00f8re mit forslag? \u201d. Det er helt normalt, at den unge reagerer. Dog kan der opst\u00e5 afstand mellem den unge og dig som for\u00e6lder, hvor den unge kan blive afvisende eller udadreagerende, hvis de oplever et for stort pres fra din side. Du kan med fordel fors\u00f8ge at styrke dit barns motivation til at l\u00f8se de opgaver, som ellers skaber problemer og irritation. Det kan du g\u00f8re v\u00e6re at hj\u00e6lpe dit barn med at f\u00e5 \u00f8je p\u00e5 sine fremskridt og anerkende processen fremfor det endelige resultat \u2013 ogs\u00e5 selvom vejen derhen kan v\u00e6re konfliktfyldt.<\/p>\n<p>Hvis dit barn har sv\u00e6rt ved at strukturere sin hverdag, handler det ikke n\u00f8dvendigvis om d\u00e5rlig planl\u00e6gning, men ofte om at den unge er overstimuleret, tr\u00e6t eller f\u00f8ler sig presset. Derfor er det vigtigt, at I taler om de f\u00f8lelser, der ligger bag frustrationerne \u2013 og at der er plads til, at den unge kan sige fra uden, det bliver et nederlag, men i stedet giver anledning til, at I kan finde mulige l\u00f8sninger p\u00e5 problemet i f\u00e6llesskab. M\u00e5ske du f\u00f8ler dig utilstr\u00e6kkelig eller mangler overskud og energi til at h\u00e5ndtere det hele.
