Andre kan opleve s\u00f8vnproblemer, koncentrationsbesv\u00e6r, ondt i maven eller f\u00f8lelsen af helt at g\u00e5 i st\u00e5. Men ofte har dit barn f\u00f8rst og fremmest brug for at f\u00f8le sig forst\u00e5et.<\/p>\n<p>Eksamensangst handler sj\u00e6ldent kun om selve eksamenen \u2013 det kan ogs\u00e5 handle om frygten for at fejle, skuffe andre eller ikke pr\u00e6stere \u201dgodt nok\u201d. Derfor kan det g\u00f8re en stor forskel, at du sp\u00f8rger nysgerrigt og anerkendende ind til situationen frem for at fors\u00f8ge at \u201cfikse\u201d f\u00f8lelsen med det samme.<\/p>\n<p>Selvom du er for\u00e6lder, s\u00e5 beh\u00f8ver du ikke have alle de rigtige svar. Det vigtigste er i bund og grund, at du viser den unge, at de ikke st\u00e5r alene med de sv\u00e6re tanker. De kan f\u00f8le, at hele deres fremtid afh\u00e6nger af den ene karakter eller ene pr\u00e6station.<\/p>\n<p>Som for\u00e6lder kan du huske dit barn p\u00e5, at de er mere end deres resultater\/karakterer i skolen Det betyder ikke, at deres ambitioner er forkerte, men mere at deres trivsel og selvv\u00e6rd ikke m\u00e5 afh\u00e6nge af karakteren alene.<\/p>\n<p>Det kan v\u00e6re en god ide at tale \u00e5bent om forventningerne \u2013 b\u00e5de den unges egne og dem, de tror omgivelserne har til dem. Nogle unge kan f\u00f8le et stort behov for at leve op til noget, uden at det n\u00f8dvendigvis bliver sagt direkte hjemmefra. Derfor kan det v\u00e6re en god ide at tydeligg\u00f8re over for dit barn, at det vigtigste er, at de g\u00f8r sit bedste under de vilk\u00e5r, der er. Derfor kan I sammen fors\u00f8ge at g\u00f8re hverdagen s\u00e5 forudsigelig og overskuelig som muligt i eksamensperioden.<\/p>\n<p>Som for\u00e6lder kan du st\u00f8tte dit barn ved sammen med fx at skabe en realistisk plan for eksamensopl\u00e6sningen, pauser, fritid og s\u00f8vn. Mange unge tror, de skal l\u00e6se op hele tiden for at klare sig godt til eksamen, men pauser og hvile er ofte godt for b\u00e5de koncentration og trivsel.<\/p>\n<p>Du kan v\u00e6re med til at skabe sm\u00e5 pauser og ro i hverdagen, hvor eksamen ikke er i fokus. Det kan v\u00e6re, at I prioriter en g\u00e5tur sammen, ser en serie eller laver noget andet, der giver hjernen en pause fra tankemylderet og pr\u00e6sentationspresset. Som for\u00e6lder kan du ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re opm\u00e6rksom p\u00e5 stemningen omkring eksamen derhjemme. Det kan v\u00e6re, at dit barn oplever hjertebanken, uro, tankemylder eller koncentrationsbesv\u00e6r, hvilket er normale stressreaktioner, men det g\u00f8r ikke n\u00f8dvendigvis angsten mindre skr\u00e6mmende.<\/p>\n<p>Du kan hj\u00e6lpe ved at v\u00e6re nysgerrig p\u00e5, hvordan dit barn oplever angsten uden at presse p\u00e5 for lange samtaler. Nogle har brug for at tale meget, mens andre har brug for mere tid. Det vigtigste er, at dit barn m\u00e6rker, at emnet ikke er tabu.<\/p>\n<p>I kan ogs\u00e5 unders\u00f8ge, hvad der hj\u00e6lper dit barn i pressede situationer \u2013 fx sm\u00e5 pauser, vejrtr\u00e6knings\u00f8velser, bev\u00e6gelse eller konkrete strategier til selve eksamensdagen. I de situationer kan det v\u00e6re vigtigt at r\u00e6kke ud efter hj\u00e6lp \u2013 og det er helt okay at g\u00f8re!<\/p>\n<p>Du beh\u00f8ver ikke st\u00e5 alene med ansvaret som for\u00e6lder. Det kan v\u00e6re en god id\u00e9 at kontakte dit barns skoles, en studievejleder eller en l\u00e6rer, s\u00e5 dit barn oplever forst\u00e5else og st\u00f8tte flere steder fra.<\/p>\n<p>Jo tidligere der bliver taget h\u00e5nd om tingene, desto lettere kan det ofte v\u00e6re at forebygge, at angsten vokser sig st\u00f8rre.<\/p>\n<p>Husk at det kan v\u00e6re utroligt sv\u00e6rt og h\u00e5rdt for dig som for\u00e6lder at st\u00e5 t\u00e6t p\u00e5 dit barn i mistrivsel. Derfor kan det v\u00e6re vigtigt, at du selv s\u00f8ger sparring eller st\u00f8tte, hvis du har brug for det.
