Become a volunteer counseling manager in Copenhagen or Frederiksberg
Are you passionate about conversation pairing and volunteer management?
At headspace Copenhagen and Frederiksberg we are currently looking for volunteers for a newly created position as volunteer counseling manager. We're looking for someone who has experience with conversations, sparring and feedback.
About headspace
headspace is a counseling service for children and young people aged 12-25. At headspace, no problem is too big or small, and we talk to young people about issues such as heartbreak, family conflicts, worries, low self-esteem, self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
At headspace Copenhagen and Frederiksberg, we have between 25-35 volunteer counselors who come in on regular shifts of 3-4 hours. You will therefore get to know a team of 2-8 counselors really well.
At headspace Copenhagen and Frederiksberg, there are always two counselors for the youth interviews and it will be your job to facilitate sparring with a focus on our core values and on the collaboration between the counselors. You will therefore support the volunteers in giving and receiving feedback after each conversation on your shift.
We offer
With us, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills in areas such as sparring, feedback, coordination and quality assurance, while contributing to making an important difference for many young people.
You will receive youth counselor training, where you will be introduced to Headspace's methods and values, and you will receive a course where you will be equipped to handle emergency situations and notifications, among other things. You will receive ongoing supervision so that you have the opportunity to constantly develop and become even more skilled.
You'll also have the opportunity to meet many wonderful volunteer colleagues who, like you, are passionate about giving all young people someone to talk to.
We expect you to
- have conversational experience. This can be with young people, but it can also be with other people in vulnerable positions
- have experience with or the courage to facilitate sparring between volunteer youth counselors

- have strong relationship, collaboration and facilitation skills and a desire to learn and develop - both for yourself and for the volunteers on your team

- is able to attend meetings as the advice is dependent on the presence of the function
- headspace Copenhagen: will spend 3-4 hours a week on a fixed shift which can be in the period Monday-Thursday either on the early shift at 11.45-16.00 or the late shift at 15.45-19.15

We look forward to hearing from you!
