Become an outreach volunteer
Do you want to make a difference for young people?
Do you want to make a difference for young people - and help create a dialog about mental health?
As a headspace outreach volunteer, you help meet young people where they are: at schools, clubs, events and other places in the community. You help start important conversations about well-being, community and struggling - and you spread the word about headspace as a place where young people can find someone to talk to.
It's not about what you can do - it's about who you are
You don't need to have a specific education or experience. The most important thing is that you want to engage in young people's lives, meet them openly and curiously - and create space for reflection and conversation. We make sure you are well prepared through training, coaching and support from experienced colleagues and volunteers.
As an outreach volunteer you get the opportunity to:
- Deliver presentations and workshops on youth well-being
- Develop and test activities that promote mental health
- Become part of an engaged and meaningful community
- Spread awareness of headspace and our counseling services
- Gain experience with communication, collaboration and dialog
You'll be part of a community where we pull together - and where you can develop both professionally and personally. As a volunteer, you typically spend around 12 hours a month and we customize your involvement to fit your life.
