headspace is part of Ungeløftet

43,000 young people are without jobs or education - now Ungeløftet is taking action

Today, 43,000 young people between the ages of 15 and 24 are without a job or education. This is a challenge that requires action. The Ministry of Employment, together with nationwide partners - including the country's municipalities, civil society organizations and businesses - has established Ungeløftet as a nationwide partnership across society.

The goal is clear: to help young people get closer to jobs or education and give them the opportunity to become part of meaningful communities. The partnership is part of a broad political agreement, with a total of DKK 1.3 billion allocated up to 2035.

headspace is part of Ungeløftet
Headspace is one of the 113 partners in Ungeløftet, and the role of headspace as an organization is to use its many years of experience with young people to strengthen their mental health and well-being. As Nina Moss, head of the international department at headspace, says:

“We want to build a bridge between the young people we meet at headspace and the arenas where young people come - primary schools, vocational schools, upper secondary schools and workplaces. We will use our years of experience with young people to both help and support young people to find their own path, but also to make educational institutions and workplaces much better equipped to support young people and promote their mental health and well-being.”

Collaboration with municipalities
An important element of headspace's work is the collaboration with the country's municipalities. Nina Moss talks about this:

“Our collaborations - especially with the municipalities - on Ungeløftet will mean that even more young people will have access to mental health-promoting initiatives. In the coming years, headspace will therefore be spending more time with young people through more community activities, and in collaboration with the country's municipalities, we will help prepare young people to be able to hold a job. At the same time, headspace will make sure that we get out and do some good collaborations to be able to lift the young people even more”

We are here for young people
At headspace, young people are at the center. As Nina Moss emphasizes:

“headspace is for young people. We listen and communicate the voices of young people through our many partnerships with authorities, politicians, businesses and educational institutions.”.
