headspace opens in Halsnæs Municipality

Headspace opens this fall in Frederiksværk. Here, children and young people throughout Halsnæs Municipality can get help with the problems that weigh them down in everyday life.

From September 2024, children and young people aged 12-25 years can drop by headspace Halsnæs in Frederiksværk and talk about what's going on inside them.

headspace Frederiksværk will be located in premises in central Frederiksværk on Vognmandsgade 12, 1st floor. The premises will be renovated over the summer and will be ready in September. From here, headspace will offer open, anonymous and flexible counseling for children and young people and a proactive approach at schools and educational facilities throughout Halsnæs Municipality.

The establishment of headspace is taking place in close collaboration with Halsnæs Municipality and with valuable support from Sparekassen Sjælland Fyn and Hillerød Rotary Club.

”Vi er glade for at kunne støtte etableringen af endnu et headspace-center. Det er det 3. center, hvor Sparekassen Sjælland Fyn yder støtte. Det er vigtigt for os, som lokal aktør, at kunne støtte op om indsatsen for at mindske børn og unge mistrivsel. Vi har en stærk tro på, at headspace Halsnæs kan blive et nemt, hurtigt og trygt sted at gå hen for unge, der har brug for en snak” says Branch Manager in Frederiksværk, Irene Nielsen.

The conversations in headspace do not require an appointment and there are no medical records. This makes it as easy as possible for children and young people to talk about everything from heartbreak, sadness, anxiety, problems at school to family conflicts, etc.

”We have far too many children and young people who are unhappy all over the country. Rotary is part of a nationwide collaboration with headspace Denmark to tackle the high level of unhappiness. We are therefore very pleased to support the establishment of headspace Halsnæs, which will be a hub for early help for children and young people throughout Halsnæs Municipality” says Henrik Følbæk from Hillerød Rotary Club.

headspace Halsnæs will be open Tuesday to Thursday from 12-18. Everyone in the age group is welcome, no matter what the need is. headspace greatly appreciates the new collaboration.
