Rotary Denmark's commitment and support creates positive change for children and young people across the country

Since the summer of 2023, Rotary has been working closely with headspace Denmark with a common goal of strengthening the mental well-being of children and young people across the country. The collaboration stems from Rotary's international focus on mental health in 2023/2024, and has made it possible to give more young people access to free, anonymous advice and support in a safe environment.

With their local roots, Rotary members help open doors for headspace and create visibility of the efforts in local communities. With more than 7,500 members in around 230 clubs in Denmark, Rotary has already made a significant contribution to headspace.

Among other things, the funds raised have made it possible to:
- Furnish premises in headspace Næstved and renovate premises in headspace Aabenraa
- Establish kitchenettes in headspace Halsnæs and headspace Horsens
- Purchase IT equipment for headspace Lyngby
- Establish a national online knowledge platform in headspace Family
- Contribute to the opening of new centers in Randers, Viborg and Syddjurs Municipality in 2026

In the coming months, Rotary will also be hosting a series of benefit concerts, with proceeds going towards headspace activities.

“We are delighted that Rotary across the country supports the work of headspace - both nationally and locally. We need these kinds of partnerships if we are to have any hope of breaking the all too many negative curves around youth unhappiness.” says Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, founder and patron of Det Sociale Netværk/headspace Danmark.

headspace Denmark thanks Rotary Denmark and the local clubs for their invaluable support, showing how a shared commitment can create positive change locally and strengthen the well-being of children and young people across the country.
