We invite you to exciting debates on young people's mental well-being at Folkemødet

We are once again on the Sunshine Island for this year's Folkemøde, where we will of course focus on young people's unhappiness. Here we ask some of the country's brightest minds whether we're doing the right things to promote well-being in young people - and what it really means to thrive. Poul Nyrup talks with Finance Minister Nikolaj Wammen on Friday about the benefits of prevention and health promotion - and whether we can afford not to focus on these two things.

You can also hear about the benefits of Peer support - support from others with lived experiences - in the treatment of the mentally vulnerable when the latest knowledge on the subject is presented on Friday.

VYou also need to get up in the helicopter - and maybe even into your soul - when Our ambassador Ida-Sophia in Saturday's debate asks ”What is a human being?”. Participants in the debate are from the museum world, a youth pastor and from our own MindU project.

If you'd like to hear more about all this - and much, much more - then we think you should stop by our tent at Folkemødet!

In addition to listening to all the exciting debates, you can try your hand at our well-being board game, enjoy a delicious refreshment and talk to us about youth well-being now and in the future.

You'll find our tent at the southern end of Folkemødet, specifically in J54.

Young people today are - as everyone says - under pressure on many fronts. Their schooling pressures them, social media gives them unrealistic images of the world around them, and they are poorer than their parents' generation, which is very worrying. But they are also strong, smart and reflective. So we must do something together to improve their well-being!
