Relationships matter to young people
In headspace, we see that the topic of “relationships with friends and family” is one of the most popular topics among young people in headspaceWe know from years of experience that the family plays a crucial role for the young person and their way out of unhappiness.
Why headspace Family
Our conversation offerings in headspace Family are based on the peer-to-peer method. This means that you will meet so-called peer volunteers with their own lived experiences that are actively used in the conversations. It is a well-documented method that has been shown to create a positive effect. At headspace Family, we see that the vast majority of the relatives of a young person feel respected in the conversations and that they receive concrete suggestions for action.
We also find that the vast majority feel less alone when speaking with a peer volunteer.
“We know that parents and other family members often feel alone with their concerns and questions. With headspace Family, we want to create a safe and confidential space without waiting lists or documentation requirements. Our goal is to empower families to support the young person during a challenging time. To help the young person, the support system around them must work.”
