HELP US HELP YOUNG PEOPLE
Headspace is run by more than 600 volunteers across the country, and more are almost always needed.
Whether you are passionate about helping, supporting and advising children and young people, telling the good stories and raising awareness of headspace or helping with all the day-to-day things it takes to run a headspace - we need you! It's important that you want to help make headspace a safe, nice and cozy place where children and young people can come and talk about their doubts, feelings and issues. To protect personal data (GDPR), you must create a user profile

Become a Volunteer Youth Counsellor
Many of our volunteers become youth counsellors at headspace. They work with children and young people aged 12 to 25, offering personal, one-on-one conversations at headspace. So if you feel that your life experience, insights, or professional skills could make a difference in supporting children and young people — apply now!
Sometimes, more practical help is also needed — for example, accompanying a young person to the municipality or helping them apply for housing benefits or SU.
You’ll need to commit around 12 hours a month.

Become a volunteer counsellor in the chat
Become a volunteer youth advisor in the headspace chat, which is based at headspace Gentofte, close to Hellerup Station.
We set the same requirements for chat counsellors as for all other youth counsellors at headspace.
You’ll need to commit about 6–8 hours a month.

Become a peer-volunteer in headspace family
headspace Family is a counselling service designed to improve the wellbeing of children and young people aged 12–25 by giving their relatives the support and guidance they need. We offer both individual sessions and family conversations. With your help, even more people can have someone to talk to. We are currently recruiting in headspace Helsingør, Holbæk, Guldborgsund, Aarhus, and Faaborg-Midtfyn.

Become an outreach volunteer at headspace
As an outreach volunteer, you help meet young people where they are - in schools, clubs, at events and in the community. You help start important conversations about well-being, community and struggle, and you represent headspace as a place where it's okay to reach out.
You don't need experience or a specific professional background - the most important thing is that you want to make a difference for young people and can meet them with openness, curiosity and respect. We'll make sure you get a thorough introduction and ongoing support along the way.
Would you like to join us? Then we look forward to hearing from you.

We’re looking for four volunteers to join our social media team! Are you between 18 and 24 and passionate about creating meaningful content for social media? Do you want to be a voice for young people while strengthening your communication skills? Then you’re exactly who we’re looking for!

In headspace Copenhagen, Denmark and Frederiksberg we are looking for volunteer counseling managers. We are looking for people who have experience with conversations, sparring and feedback.
There are always two counselors at the youth interviews and it will be your job to facilitate sparring with a focus on our core values and on the collaboration between the counselors. You will therefore support the volunteers in giving and receiving feedback after each conversation on your shift. Does this sound like something for you? Then apply here.
