Become a volunteer in headspace
HJÆLP OS MED AT HJÆLPE UNGE

Become a Volunteer Youth Counsellor
Many of our volunteers become youth counsellors at headspace. They work with children and young people aged 12 to 25, offering personal, one-on-one conversations at headspace. So if you feel that your life experience, insights, or professional skills could make a difference in supporting children and young people — apply now!
Sometimes, more practical help is also needed — for example, accompanying a young person to the municipality or helping them apply for housing benefits or SU.
You’ll need to commit around 12 hours a month.

Become a volunteer counsellor in the chat
You can also volunteer youth counsellor in the headspace chat, which is based at headspace Gentofte, close to Hellerup Station.
We set the same requirements for chat counsellors as for all other youth counsellors at headspace.
You’ll need to commit about 6–8 hours a month.

Become a peer-volunteer in headspace family
headspace Family is a counselling service designed to improve the wellbeing of children and young people aged 12–25 by giving their relatives the support and guidance they need. We offer both individual sessions and family conversations. With your help, even more people can have someone to talk to. We are currently recruiting in headspace Helsingør, Holbæk, Guldborgsund, Aarhus, and Faaborg-Midtfyn.

Become a Volunteer Communicator
We’re also looking for volunteers who want to help with communication and spread the word about headspace — so that even more young people find their way to us. This could mean giving talks at schools, organising events, or creating content for social media. Or maybe you’re great at welcoming young people and creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere? Then we might need you, too, at your local headspace centre.

Become a Volunteer DialogPilot
You can become part of headspace’s DialogPiloter — volunteers who visit young people and lead workshops focusing on different themes related to mental health.
Our workshops mainly consist of exercises designed to start meaningful conversations with young people — in a fun and playful way.
So, would you like to go out, have fun with young people, and at the same time help put mental health on the agenda? And are you comfortable speaking in front of others — or would you like to practise getting better at it?
Then apply to become a Dialogue Pilot.

become volunteer Some content creator
We’re looking for four volunteers to join our social media team! Are you between 18 and 24 and passionate about creating meaningful content for social media? Do you want to be a voice for young people while strengthening your communication skills? Then you’re exactly who we’re looking for!
AS A VOLUNTEER IN HEADSPACE YOU SHOULD:
- Be passionate about helping young people on their own terms
- Be a good listener
- Take part in ongoing supervision and share your thoughts and experiences
- Participate in our introductory training
- Dedicate an average of 12 hours a month to working in a headspace centre and 6–8 hours a month in the chat
